Gotta be all blue with the blue helmets. It's the players favorite combo, followed by all white with the blue helmet.
Given the heat wave, I'm hoping against hope for my favorite new combo, which is blue helmet, white jersey, blue pants. But, honestly, expecting the gold helmet, blue jersey and gold pants. It was the last color combo when Pitt beat Penn State. I say, hell, go back to it again for tomorrow. I guess all blue wouldn't surprise me either.
I don't believe so. If I'm not mistaken, teams like Georgia Tech and LSU often wear white at home a la the Dallas Cowboys.Don't they have to wear a dark jersey being the home team?
Hell, I hope they wear the throwbacks!
Yeah... I don't want the retro look for this game at all. This is the new Pitt. This is the Narduzzi Pitt. Let him make a name with the new look. I don't love the new look, but it is what it is. And, honestly, aside from the white pants, it's fine. It's already pretty desperate that they're honoring the '76 team and brings back the nightmare that was the The U under Wanny for that Thursday night game. I mean, why not save them for a lesser opponent to bring in a bigger crowd. This contest sells itself and doesn't need past champs honored and throwback? Just too much for me. Having Walt, the last Pitt HC to beat PSU, make sense though. It would be cool if they came out in all blue for warmups.. go back to dressing room and right before kickoff, come out in throwbacks..
do you think the throwbacks are really going to "sell" more tickets?Yeah... I don't want the retro look for this game at all. This is the new Pitt. This is the Narduzzi Pitt. No... But I think honoring a past championship team would've better suited homecoming v. GT along with the throwbacks as a gesture to the past champs and the uniforms they wore. It's awkward. Just have Walt there tomorrow. Not need to honor the '76 squad. There's already enough hoopla. A bit of overkill. Just my opinion... Oh, also my opinion that new colors with the throwback design look a lot better than throwbacks themselves.do you think the throwbacks are really going to "sell" more tickets?
Noon tomorrow. As in, about what time? I'm geared up and ready to roll.
I believe Pitt reveals the uniform combo via Twitter the day before each game. At least they did just that last week. And, given they're sporting a new look this season, I expect the same today.Noon tomorrow.
I believe you can where what you want but the opposing team has to be informed in advance so both teams don't wear white.Don't they have to wear a dark jersey being the home team?

Yes. Another reason I don't like it in addition to it being completely unnecessary for a game that's already 16 years in the making and hyped out wazoo. It's minor complaint but still annoys me. Seems like almost a distraction to the staff and team. As I said, Walt makes perfect sense. He coached in and won the last meeting with PSU.Doesnt it seem that every time we honor some past great team we get our ass kicked?
Pitt might roll onto the field sporting these for the sake of 12-0!narduzzi keeping more than the uniforms under wraps!!!! Let the gamesmanship begin

Real teams always wear dark at home. When was the last time the Steelers or Pitt wore white at home? Maybe never...I know Pitt has worn gold, but that doesn't count. You'll see your's on the road only.Maybe Ok.St?Given the heat wave, I'm hoping against hope for my favorite new combo, which is blue helmet, white jersey, blue pants. At 51 I have decided I am too old to talk about uniforms anymore...I'm out.As in, about what time? I'm geared up and ready to roll.
