Maybe I heard it wrong but it seems that a few of our recent losses were to teams that have 2 or 3 big men that they can rotate. NC State is a good example.

FSU has 3 seven footers, not that it helps that much, they're record is worse than ours and we split with them.

Players not named Barber or Lacey scored a grand total of 26 points against Pitt yesterday, and Pitt outrebounded NCSU... at both ends of the court.

Pitt didn't get beat because of the other team's frontcourt.... we got beat because the other team's guards prison-raped our guards.

an apt description

It's all about the lack of a solid post player or two with this team and secondarily the lack of a consistent 3-point shooter. No inside outside game on offense and no defensive post presence. The former allows our guards to be covered more tightly on the perimeter and the latter allows opponents to run and inside outside game and to dribble drive penetrate without fear of being thwarted at the hoop by a big man with size and/or hops.

Not sure why this is so complicated to understand...it is not just about being tall. Tall, spindly, weak guys are generally not much better than what we have. Pitt needs a guy that plays the 5 like he belongs there [and wants to be there]. Think about Pitt's best teams...the 5 was generally very disruptive, was incredibly physical with anyone that entered the paint, and could rebound like a Hoover. Height is nice...as it does in and of itself disrupt some shots...but you have to be athletic and physical if it is going to work in Pitt's system. Hail to Pitt!

UPITT89 said Pitt fans think big guys grow on trees!

I guess they do with FSU hogging three of them!

BC having another good one!

UNC having a couple!

Louisville yes they got them too!

On and on!

Whats going on we got nuttin!

Oh yea we had two a few years ago, chased one off, and the other left for the NBA and that surprised the coaching staff? We should have had an Adams back-up or two the day he stepped on campus.

Go Pitt!

Fyi to all you Ziegler haters!

I'm watching the TCU Kansas game and the announcers are all over him saying how great his senior year has been at TCU!

They mentioned he played at Pitt and wondered why he left!

Oh well " Another one bites the dust"!

Go Pitt!

We rank #225 in Opponent 3 Point Percentage.

We rank #290 in Opponent FG percentage.

We stink everywhere on defense.

Not amazing. Standard. We are usually one of those teams. Because of a recruitng misses and failures, we don't at the moment.
