Jim mentioned this was a name to keep an eye on, and it definitely is today, as I just learned that Pat Narduzzi and Tim Salem are on their way to Hillside High School in New Jersey to visit with the coach of defensive end Brian Ugwu.
Ugwu has had a Pitt offer for awhile, but things seemed to have faded as Pitt loaded up on defensive ends and outside linebackers. That's where - in my new - things get interesting. Ugwu is listed as a defensive end in the Rivals.com database, but he's in the 6'3" 220 range where he might have some versatility. He played linebacker and running back at Hillside (his RB highlights are linked below) so it will be interesting to see where the Pitt coaches project him; we should have more info on that later this morning.
I'm not sure if has the speed to play OLB, although his Hudl tape says he had 1,490 yards on 76, which is about 19.6 yards per carry so he can move.
This film shows him playing RB; the next one has some defensive highlights.
