Another departure & addl news

I really like the news of Dintino moving to C and Bisnowaty moving to G. I like Jones-Smith a lot and think that OL could be good. I always thought Caragein would have made a hell of a C. I think we wasted him at DT. Unfortunately, as always, we had such little depth at that spot that we really had no other choice.

The move of Soto from DE to DT is very telling, and in a very good way with regards to DE. It means that they are very comfortable with their 2 deep of Price, Hendrix, Edwards, and Blair. Soto used to be a starter at DE, now he is out of the top 4. It also likely means they are comfortable with the next level guys as well, including several freshman.

Unfortunately, it may mean the opposite sort of thing with regards to the DT position. But perhaps not.

Soto's a little light in the shorts for DT, no? Maybe they hope he turns into a quick, 3-tech type of guy that can disrupt the backfield. We should hope...

Seem like good moves. Didn't think Soto was quick enough to be a factor at DE so having him focus on bulking up and moving inside seems like the right move. A line with Bis at guard and JJS at Tackle is very intriguing. Dintino at center is also very intriguing long term. Seems like a tough position to learn to make an impact this year but Oneil did pretty well on the fly last year so who knows.

It could mean Hendrix is the beast we had hoped and Edwards had moved past soto as well.

Agree that Soto didn't have the quickness for DE - played DE like a DT, so the move makes sense. Looks like we will see the DT recruits playing sooner rather than later.

Go Pitt.

Dintino to center is a good depth move, well probably a necessary one anyways since an injury to Officer would throw the line in to complete disarray and I have no idea who the second center currently is.

Dintino is a pretty decent athlete if you recall his work in some packages last year as a blocking back. He can move very well for a 300 lb. guy.
