Another Pat Signal Today

Very good pick up. Looks good to get a commitment while so many others are on campus.
Well he's not very tall and he's not very big so let's just hope he's quick as a cat much like an Aaron Donald.

Frame def. looks like a situational 3 tech. But those types have their place in a DT rotation.

No worries, IMO. If he wasn't quick enough he would not have been allowed to commit this early. IMHO, this is the kind of player who will weigh 300 (+/- 10) in 3-4 years (i.e., when a RS SO or RS JR)--a very typical developmental DT with very good potential but too light out of HS to contribute until after a couple of years of nutritional and weight room work.

That would be horrible weight on him. Look at the pictures of him. He doesn't have the frame for the weight you are talking about.
He's going to be a 275 to 280 pound shoot the gap 3 tech that you put in on obvious passing downs to crash the middle. Or with a little luck, is able to hold up enough to pair with a run stuffer.
Think the kid that went to WVU, became a freshman All American, and just announced he is transferring so he can go play in a gap shooting defensive system. He's similar to him. You put the kind of weight on them you're talking about and you've ruined them.

Or Kier Thomas at South Carolina is another good example. Thomas plays end for Muschamp, and then on obvious passing downs, they slide him into the middle to shoot the gap. That's probably why Muschamp was recruiting him. Sees him as the same type of QB sacker from the DT position.
