Ohio State's whole team is leaving early. Besides Godwin, I haven't heard of anyone from PSU declaring. Either they don't have anyone else good enough or they are stupid to play for free.

As for Saquon Barkley, I truly believe RBs especially that are guaranteed high draft picks should sit out their true junior senior so not to risk injury. I know that wont happen but there is too much money on the table to risk playing 13 games for free. I would say this about any true junior who is a guaranteed high draft pick. Its just not worth the risk.

Who care?
Well we do play them next year. Who leaves and who stays is quite relevant to us.

Uh yea, that's why I am asking. The winner of the Pitt/PSU game could have national title hopes. If we beat PSU and OKST and finish 11-1 (say we lose at VT but they finish 6-2), we are playing FSU or Clemson for a spot in the CFP. Heck, if we beat PSU and OKST, we might make the CFP if we go 11-2.

Their Linebacker. Cabina is the most important player on both sides of the ball. Besides the running back and QB

I'm planning to arrive for the game a couple of days early on 9/7 to take in the cow pastures and look for any remains from Joe's statue.
This is actually the context I was thinking when first reading the thread title... Haha.

Either they don't have anyone else good enough or they are stupid to play for free.

Or maybe it's the fact that they had the youngest starting lineup in college football this year due to losing 12 starters to the NFL draft last year. Most of their best players are not draft eligible. Wait until next year.

That program is absolutely loaded, and they just keep 'em coming.

Did you just mention National Title hopes? Cmon man

PSU doesn't lose much this year. Next year is the year for them. If they lose more than 2 games it was a horrible year for them because they lose a ton of guys after next season. They won't have a RB anywhere close to Barkley. McSorley will return because he doesn't have NFL talent, but they will be hard pressed to put anywhere near the team on the field in 2018. Told a PSU buddy last year that 2017 was PSU's chance at a big season.

Losing Barkley will hurt them but the have been bringing in a lot of talent over the last few years and this past season and this coming season will only help them land more. They arent going away. Joepoop kicking the can was the best thing to happen to them
