Anyone notice if Drumgoole was

Wouldn't you assume he,Kene and the other guard (name escapes me) will just redshirt? Bringing any in now wont move the needle much, but next year they will be very helpful.

Capel didn’t sound too optimistic about him playing anytime soon in his post game presser. Said there hasn’t been much progression and he’s still only able to jog and do light shooting drills in practice. Based on his tone, I think his return by the start of ACC play might be BEST case.

I suppose a redshirt for Drumgoole is possible. Kene Chukwuka, however, won’t be back I feel certain. He will be graduating and we have 6-9 Hugley, 6-10 Amadasun, and 6-8 Collier coming in and 6-10 Brown and 6-8 Coulibaly are returning. Given that situation regarding big men, Kene would only be a bench warmer in an already crowded front court. The shooting guard, Ithiel Horton is sitting out his transfer year right now. I believe he will have 3 years of eligibility beginning next year.

Why? Please tell us? Isn't there a certain amount of games you could play and still get the redshirt?

Not unless you're injured.

If you aren't injured the number of games you can play and still get a redshirt is zero. Of course Drumgoole IS injured, so if he doesn't play anymore he can get a redshirt.

Only in Division I football can you play in up to 4 games in a season and still redshirt (assuming you have not previously redshirted) ..... in all other sports, if you play at all, you can't redshirt unless it is a medical redshirt ...... Drumgoole at the present time would still be eligible for a medical redshirt, in fact, he could technically still play in some more games and qualify for a medical redshirt as long as he did not play any games in the 2nd half of the season, did not play in more then 10 games total, and if he did come back to play, that he reinsured himself (the same or a new injury) in the first half of the season and that injury was season ending.

Well he is not playing because he is injured. But I am not in favor of tying up that ship in year five.
It depends on how good he becomes if Pitt would want to tie up the scholarship plus if he’s really good and Pitts nothing special at the time he’d be smart to grad transfer .

I noticed that he was limping as the team left the court at the end of the game. It was a limp while he was doing a slight jog.
