I can't be the only one who sees a lot of comparisons between Trey Andersen and Araujo-Lopes.
Trey quarterbacked a perennial powerhouse to a state championship in the highest classification of Texas high school football.
Araujo-Lopes was highly productive for a Florida high school that plays in the highest classification in the state.
These type of kids aren't typically the ones who get overlooked. What was the reason Araujo-Lopes didn't receive a single D1 offer out of high school? Surely, he had scouts at plenty of his games considering the teams he played against. Also, he played with several D1 prospects.
Then, he had an amazing year at junior college and only got noticed because his high school coach was putting in work for him still. I hope this kid comes in, proves me wrong, and provides a great threat opposite Boyd. I just can't put too much stock in this pickup.
