--I have been wondering what the coaches saw in this kid. Then today he showed that he has a 5th gear. Seems to take him a while to get into 5th gear, but once he got rolling he sure was flying down that sideline on that kickoff.

--Would like to see him use that speed effectively on the jet sweeps. Obviously speed is a big key to the success of the Oh Canada jet sweeps. Henderson and Whitehead seem like they can't be stopped. The others seem to struggle with when to cut up the field and usually wait too long to cut or don't cut at all...

I don't really care for him.

I think Henderson and Ffrench are the best at running the jet sweeps.

I think Weah, Henderson, Tipton and Matthews are better WR's.

Sorry to be negative, but I just don't think he's good enough to be stealing touches from better players.

Ffrench missed a wide open cut back on a jet sweep right today. Virginia had the play overplayed to the sideline and a lane opened up 5 yards wide and he missed it. I saw a few times where the cutback was there when they took the sideline away.

Yup, commented on that in the game thread. Biz was sealing the edge and henderson, ffrench etc kept trying to cut it outside and getting stopped after 5, instead of getting big plays.

Actually, I think that Lopes may be seen in the future as a slot receiver; perhaps next year. He has good hands and is a very good route runner.

Today was the first flash I'd seen out of him, but I suspect he will end up being buried on the depth chart.

Almost all these guys have shown some talent when they got their shot, and I see the future as being bright at the WR position.
