Are we a better team right now than Georgia Tech?

No. They are more playing with more intensity and effort, have an impressive win streak and their losses are close games.

I will answer my own question. I think GT is a better team. If I had to pick 5 guys off either team, this would be my lineup:

PG - Robinson
SG - Adam Smith
SF - MGH
PF - Young
C - Mitchell

Smith, MGH, and Mitchell are as good as anybody. Then they have the huge Jacobs kid and the shooter, Stephens.

We can beat them but their players are more talented.

How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? Just as easy a question as the one you pose. Which team is better has some but not complete bearing on who wins Saturday.

we can definitely beat them, we've already done it once. And they definitely have capable talent to beat us, would not be a surprise or upset.

They have the one guard that was hitting from outside big time against us the first game. I also thought their front court looked big and good against us the first time but we were fortunate that they were missing a good number of bunnies that should have easily been converted.

The above plus the fact that they didn't have a guard or anyone to effectively drive/penetrate to the hoop against us is why I thought we won the first game.

We're on their court this time. If their front court doesn't miss the inordinate number of bunnies they missed the first time around and if we aren't hitting our outside shots or otherwise don't execute well as in the Virginia Tech game, it will be good chances of a L for us.

At this point does it really even matter? The real issue is that this horrendous loss erases everything that was accomplished with the win over Duke? Did the team know that a double bye in the ACC tourney and a lock to the NCAA tourney was at stake? Could the game have been any bigger and the team/coaching come up any smaller? How pathetic was this performance? Is it any wonder that Pitt still has tickets available to the ACC tourney? Why would anyone want to subject themselves to more displays like this? Just an overall pathetic performance and it starts with the coach.

Are u really shocked by what u saw against VT? Making the NCAA and winning 1 game is about all this team has in it. We need to recruit better. You need a team that has leadership, talent, and guys that understand their role within a team concept. It is what it is.

Yes you need all those things but you also need a coach to get his team pumped up to the importance of the game. When Young admitted after the game they weren't focused that speaks volumes about the team and the coach.

At this time after last night NO!
On Tuesday I posted that the VT game would be a walk over momentum builder after the big Duke win!
The VT game performance was the worst I've seen all year. How can you be so flat after a big win or maybe the Duke game wasn't as big a win as we think.
A loss like the VT loss casts doubt on a win like the Duke win. Maybe Duke was really off and PITT wasn't as good as we thought??
