Has this game become the forgotten game ,I actually forgot that this game is tomorrow, used to be a big game

Go Navy, Beat Army!!!
This is actually pure college football. With all the transfer portal, NIL, tampering, broken conference alignment.....this is a pure rivalry game played by real student athletes.

Add in the fact that these kids will be potentially laying their lives on the line to protect our country, what's not to like and respect???

Some people.................................................

With everything that this game represents,

The last thing that would interest me is the game itself.

I hope to go one year

Meh. Hey, I respect the tradition. But this is about as interesting as the Gasperilla Bowl. Sorry, don't hate me.
Same for me. It’s unwatchable as far as the football goes. Especially played in a soulless NFL stadium.

I would however love to see Army play a home game on a nice October day at West Point. Just for the setting and pageantry alone.

whats the line ?

It was really cool a few years ago when it was played in a driving snow storm. But now on the East Coast, we no longer have snow in December, that interesting aspect is even gone.

Both teams stink. Navy had a decent run for a while which made the game more interesting, but watching two bad teams run the wing T for 2 hours isn't much to get excited about for many.
This game is way more meaningful then a Pitt - psu game for tens of millions around the world.
I for one enjoy watching this game every year. We all, should appreciate these TRUE student athletes playing in this game The commitment they made to attend West Point and the Naval Academy is one of honor and the commitment they make upon graduation to defend our country is something that we should all give thanks for.
No NIL deals here, just a bunch of young men representing two tremendous schools playing a sport they love. Arch rivals one day and teammates tomorrow.
Many thanks to those fine young men and women who are participating in todays game.

How old is this Gene Steratore guy? I could swear that he refereed some high school games I played in back in the '70s.

I know he and his brother did a lot of games in the early-mid 80's. His dad's name is also Gene and he was a referee. That's probably who you remember.

Great ending and always a fun game to watch. Reminds me of how college football was in late 70s early 80s as a kid.

i used to dislike it but have come around to enjoying it. you cant compare it to a P5 football game though, that's where it fails miserably. You have to just watch it for what it is, two military schools going against each other with a very long and proud history..

IF anyone tries to compare it to a bama-auburn, pitt-psu, usc-nd or hell, Any actual P5 rivalry, it fails miserably. i dont like that comparison to be honest becuase well these academies are playing under different rules and guidelines than any P5 football school.

Army-Navy is like an ACC Coastal game -- usually a pretty even match. Only better played.

For me it is one of the few, true must-watch football games every year. Like Michigan-Ohio State. The two squads really get after each other. So the playbooks are skinny and the fullback dives harken to a different age. I love it. If Pitt ever drops big-time football, I'd adopt Navy in a second.

I think one reason why I always hated it, it signified the end of college football season outside of the bowls.

Well after the cheesy firing of the head coach, torpedo that Navy idea.
