In the early stages of Pitt's Pro Day Tuesday, many of the comments about safety Ray Vinopal from teammates and scouts had to do with the suntan he got while training in Miami for two months.
By the end of it, the talk was less about the Youngstown native's bronzed complexion and much more about his improving NFL stock.
His eye-popping workouts in front of NFL teams will likely do more to get him an opportunity at the next level than his senior-year statistics at Pitt, but Vinopal hopes prospective employers who "dive down into the film" will be able to see beyond the numbers.
