ND is an experienced team, Pitt had no choice but to gamble some on defense and a trap broken leads to an open three the way ND passes the ball. Brey is the same coach who used the "burn offense" to frustrate Pitt but for a few years now they play a very nice ball sharing offense. Durham and Mooney together is a tough match up for Pitt. Gotta like how Brey adapts to lacking a point guard and being overmatched in speed at a couple spots. I guess good shooting cures some ills, but at Pitt we wouldn't know about that.

Our bigs Ham/TB are just not good and they get exposed real easy against anyone who has game. Pitt can't get out of having severe scoring droughts It kills us on the road every time.

Our biggest matchup nightmare is: 1) offensive-centric bigs; 2) the zone; 3) good 3pt shooting teams. ND is all 3 and they were hitting EVERYTHING last night.

I think we lose that game at ND 7 times out of 10 due to the matchups but it wasn't as bad as it looked. ND just shot really well and frankly got some luck too (like the tipped fast break that the white dude caught anyway and someone got it to go in, the and 1 where the guy fell on his own and got a foul shot, etc.).
