Pretty sure they never offered. Actually, the more accurate statement would be, "Thank goodness we were never invited," because our administration would have jumped on that offer in a heartbeat. Probably still would.
Good call. I wanted to join the B1G when everything was going down, but I like our home in the ACC now.

Ped State set the precedence of “anything goes”. Pay a fine, pay the attorneys - you can repeatedly molest children in the football showers - for years.
It’s still mind boggling.
I don’t think ANY school will ever be considered for the “death penalty” again.
I think MSU is a lot worse but with the way PSU was handled it showed that the NCAA is essentially worthless and Powerless. This OSU situation is a mess. The poor woman may end up dead before it’s all said and done.
UNC and Louisville have pulled some crap in the meantime too.

As stated the problem with Ped State is they set the “precedence” that you can do anything as long as you pay the fine. There is no excusing what happened at Mich State or ANY of the other schools. Unfortunately the “cultures” have not changed. It’s pay the fine and move on.
Remember what happened at Ped Sate - students and alumni RIOTED when action was taken. Lawsuits were filed demanding worthless Win records be restored. Victims and whistleblowers were/ are vilified.
What happned at Ped State is far worse than what happened anywhere else - it’s not even close.

I love the quotes in an article I saw this AM from Jim Delany in 2007. It was the perfect height of arrogance and sanctimony from the Big 10, might as well been PSU fans. It was how the Big 10 balances sports with academics and don't want to be like the SEC.

I think Ped State was alot worse if you are talking football programs.
You think raping young boys is not as bad as assaulting young women? Both are horrible, but Ped state happened in and with the football facility, and was covered up by the head coach and the admin.
We shall see what the NCAA says though, I have not seen the sanctions against MSU yet, or Maryland, or Rutgers, or OSU, or all the other teams that had things happen.
OSU was slapped for tattoos ... looks like a 'are you joking' kinda thing now.

Ped State stands alone in abusing children for years, hiding it and molesting them in the football showers (as well as other places)
Ped State stands alone in riots supporting the molesters and enablers.
Ped State stands alone in filing lawsuits against sanctions.
Ped State stands alone in vilifying the victims, whistleblowers and Press for exposing it.
IMO - you bring up the misconduct of other schools to mollify and justify your own school’s and fan base’s misconduct.
You will never ever get it.

If the price of being an "Elite" football institution is to be affiliated with a conference like the B10, I will take the mediocrity of the ACC everyday of the week. I take pride in supporting a program that to this point has never had to mitigate such incidents. My opinion, athletics cannot exceed morality.
