I imagine because Northwestern was on the road in last year's challenge, and Pitt was at home.

Grad transfer from UTEP (who started his career at Duquesne, funny enough), then a freshman big and a freshman small forward.

But they lost Pete Nance to UNC, one of the best players in the Big Ten, and a solid rotation bit to Duke. Boo Buie’s a good player, but there’s not much else there right now.
