The Panthers ranked in the top half of all Power 5 teams with both three-stars (29th with 9.1 percent drafted) and four-stars (18th with 26.7 percent drafted). More specifically to your question, Pitt far exceeded expectations based on recruiting rankings. During our time frame, the Panthers’ average recruiting ranking of 41.7 was 43rd among 65 Power 5 teams, but their percentage of recruits drafted ranks 28th at 11.9. That’s an impressive plus-15 difference.
