Atlanta, glade to see you get a couple of recommendations.
To add to the list:
Johnny's located between Ephrata and Denver (just south of the turnpike) about 15 miles outside the
city is the best steaks. Been to both and Johnny's wins by far.
Stockyard is close, about 3 miles from the convention center. Can be very hit and miss for the money.
Another good fine dining restaurant is the Log Cabin located in Rothsville. Log Cabin is about 10 miles
outside of the city. Both of these are considered fine dining.
Lombardo's is probably the best Italian restaurant in Lancaster. Located about 2 miles from the convention center.
Lancaster has Texas Roadhouse, Outback and other causal restaurants.
Another causal restaurant is the Federal Tap House just up the street form the convention center. The restaurant
is well within walking distance of the convention center. Another restaurant is Annie Baileys (Irish food and very historic
building) right around the corner from the convention center.
Depending on when you are in town and if you have some time to kill a walk through the farmers market
would be enjoyable. It is locate a baseball throw from the convention center. It has numerous coffee shops and
smaller causal dining located near it.
