Pitt adds another playmaker in the secondary with 5’10” 175 pound UC Davis safety transfer Kavir Bains. Started 14 games this year, and had 83 tackles, 8.5 TFL, 3 interceptions, and Big Sky Conference leading 14 pass breakups.
Looks very small.
I'm usually not too worried about the secondary. I'm think McIntyre, Brookins and Anderson play a ton at safety. Just hope they stay healthy. The O$U transfer will probably get reps as well.
I agree whole-heartedly. And McMillion while making lots of tackles simply because of how his position is used, was like the biggest culprit in the disfunction of the defense. He was out of place all the time. And a few times he literally avoided tackling a player right in front of him.MacIntyre wasn't very good last year. Not sure he's a guy I'm comfortable relying on.
I know he's going to play a lot because he's a vet, but it would be nice to have someone pushing for his playing time.
