I am hoping that the new AD and his team can implement a campaign to showcase our 2 star players, Boyd and Conner into a media bonanza.

Sports are about excitement and emotion so let’s get with the program.

Our last AD failed to showcase one of the most dominant defensive players in our era as AD won the Nagurski, Bednarik, Lombardi & Outland Trophies without much of a wimpier from out AD Dept.

H2P

Each of those four awards are voted on by media panels. Perhaps your memory is faded over the past two years but a very effective campaign--for voters and fans alike--was constructed on AD's behalf. Great info graphics, videos showing him beyond the field. Aaron did the hard work, no doubt, but it was acknowledged that the campaign played an important role in helping a player from a 6-6 squad win those awards over players from Alabama, Florida State, Michigan State and UCLA.
So certainly there was more than a "wimpier" during AD's senior year. That said, #23 and #24 present great opportunities this year. Will be interesting to see how it is showcased on and off the field.

I don't think we'll see much [pre season press] for Boyd given his DUI. The AD's main role in that should be PR spin when it's (hopefully) announced that his punishment is done.

We have seen a few puff pieces on James Conner.

As it is, I think most Pitt fans want an 8+ win season. Individual awards and praise won't mean a thing if Pitt goes 6-6 again.

Honestly, he got every possible award on a 6 & 6 team. It's very hard to push a player further on a team with that record.

JC is getting some good press but not enough.

TB's incident will be back in the media every practice... And likely a few games in.

TB's DUI will disappear from the conversation as soon as he starts making insane catches and putting up great numbers again. The only way it gets mentioned over and over is if he struggles.
