Just talked to Pitt AD Scott Barnes. He said that while he would like to get Penn State on the schedule every year, the series - which currently has four games scheduled from 2016-19 - won't resume until after the 2022-25 West Virginia series that was announced this week.
Barnes said that he wanted to get PSU in the 2022-25 window, but when that couldn't happen, he turned to WVU and got that series scheduled.
