Just spoke with Pitt AD Scott Barnes on a number of topics, and one was the hoops non-conference schedule. Barnes said he likes what Pitt's schedule has done for the Panthers in terms of RPI and SOS, but he acknowledged that the team needs a few games that will draw more interest. As such, he said he has already had extended discussions with Jamie Dixon about improving in that regard for next season.
Barnes also alluded to an upcoming series with an attractive opponent. That could mean WVU, although he didn't say which team he was referencing.
