He should call a press conference and before taking questions throw Ritchie Walsh out of the room.

Then repeat what he said the other day "If you are an AD these days, you keep a list of coaching candidates...".

then say: I have a list of six names, I will not tell you who is on the list other than Sean Miller was on the list, I won't say whether he was first, second or sixth. We intend to make contact with everyone on this list and during the initial contact we might even discuss a broad outline of a contract. There will probably be other names who we come to contact. These contacts do not constitute an "offer".

Better yet why not just ask Richie Walsh "who will be in town to take the job tomorrow"? Save a lot of time that way.

He would literally be begging for a mutiny from writers everywhere around the state before his feet even began to get wet.
