I can't help but wonder what Barnes is thinking about the direction of this team. He did not hire the Duzz and may have no loyalty to him. If Stallings proves to be a good hire, and there is no football improvement next year, well.............

I wouldn't worry about improvement with hoops over the next few years.
That is kind of the wildcard in the dynamic. And he did look thoroughly disgusted at the Virginia game on sideline. But all things considered, next year really will be another similar one to this. So doubt any wheels could turn at least until after next year. Probably will see the usual Pitt change of some position coaches if anything.
He will and should get 4 years. After that 4th year , evaluate and if there is a better hire to be had, and we are not winning , that will be the time to pull the trigger. Hopefully in 2 more years the ship will be righted.

Well, there was certainly no improvement or significant accomplishments for the basketball program in the last 5 years. Dixon supporters seemed comfortable with more of the same.

Narduzzi needs to rebuild this roster from the defections. remember last year's senior day? was it 9 or 10 seniors? our roster was destroyed in talent and depth by the coaching changes. give narduzzi more than 2 years before deciding to can him. maybe if we supported him, the wait for success would follow?

So you agree it's speculation. Losing Bis on the OLINE may be addition by subtraction, the same could be said for most of the LBs, Lewis, etc. The biggest loss may be Conner of he goes pro. Peterman has been hit or miss. MacVittie should be at least solid since he ran a similar offense in high school.
No reason to think the defense can't be better next year, even with the losses of Jarrett and Price, who are really the only players on defense worth their weight on that side of the ball.

Additionally we were the #1 team in ncaa last year with a roster comprised of freshmen and Sophomores . we lost more recruits than psu did with sanctions.

Right he needs a couple of years after, where the whole roster are his recruits, he is now playing with Graham and Chryst recruits give him the benefit of the doubt. Be patient. Pitt is going through growing pains
