Basketball seats

Best seats for a Pitt game?
If you are going to a game like today I would simply find the cheapest seat you can to get you in the building- once in you can basically sit anywhere you want with the exception of a suite or court side .

I sat courtside with my two friends last season against GTech after buying the cheapest seats possible. It can be done.

Haha - I guess I should say that when I sat courtside and I did have tickets, no one ever checked them.
My one guest was sweating bullets every time an usher came by. It was hilarious. I was getting into it with the refs and opposing players. All in good fun.

We bought three seats for this Sat vs North Florida. After having STX for 40 years this was the first time making a single game purchase for anything other than a City Game.

Hello “dynamic pricing”.

Pitt has gall, charging what they charge, and raising the price $10 per seat if purchased on game day at the venue. What kind of strategy is that when your gym is 3/4 empty?

We bought seats on the aftermarket for about $12 per, fees included. I know we can move freely to better seats. The ushers are genial and we did so all the time last year.

Question: Is it reasonable to expect aftermarket prices around $20 for ACC games?

Yeah, probably.

There’s a good deal going on right now for UNC and UVA (during Christmas break). $50 for UNC and $40 for UVA for seats in the Oakland Zoo section plus an Oakland Zoo shirt with each ticket.

Divide by 2 and I might be interested. I freely paid more than the value received the last few years. Not any more.

They’re trying to give away tickets to VLC members

It's laughable how expensive they sell tickets for. But I guess they run cost benefit analysis of all that. I don't know.

It makes sense to charge that much against UNC. There will be a lot of UNC fans in attendance, so you might as well maximize the money you make. $50 for good seats against a good opponent is fair. I do agree they should have lowered the cost of season tickets and games against low profile opponents.

It’s been many years since I last pitched a “perfect” hoops home season. Something got in the way once or twice a year — 9pm tip, congested Nov schedule, flat tire, unavoidable conflict. It was a hard decision to give up my season tix, but I hate to waste money and the product on the floor was less than inspiring. I decided that the Panther Club donation was cash down the drain. ACC will never equal the old Big East, imo. I’ll be happy with just 1-3 games this year.

No one can blame you for that. Although I'm sure there will be some on here who will chastise you unfairly.

I did the same thing a few years ago (gave up my Panther Club and transferred the season's tickets) when I saw this program getting so much worse under Capel instead of better. I still go to some games because I just enjoy watching basketball so much more than football and it only takes 2 hours to play the game, usually.

If anyone is looking to take the family to the 9PM weeknight BC game, it will only cost you $160 for 4 if you want the cheapest lowers. Great deal.

Against UNC no doubt.
I was more speaking about the non conference cupcakes
