...can anyone think of a player this millennium that has missed more dunks in a season than McGowens? I'm not sure a player has missed more in their career than he has this year. Then again, there weren't a ton of players on our earlier teams that could even athletically dunk, so I guess there's that!

He needs to be smarter. Get the 2 points.

The missed dunks become a problem when you're trying to to make ESPN's highlight reel instead of just taking the layup. And it's happened multiple times this year.

Probably right.
I'll forever be able to replay it in my mind. Pitt was playing at WVU. Big weeknight game. I was sitting in a booth at bootleggers when Gray missed three successive bunnies, going from the left side of the rim to the right side, etc. On the fourth he made it. It was against Pittsnogle, which made it even funnier to watch. Two massive, goofy humans. That mop-top on Gray was a classic.

I have watched this all year, and I refuse to give him a pass. He's not LeBron, he needs to be more OPEN to dunk, I just think he wants to show off. He needs to learn when he should dunk or when he should softly lay it in, TWO POINTS is the goal, not posterizing your opponent.

I thought I was the only one thinking of this.

In the immortal words of Paul Evens regarding Demetrius Gore, "they don't give you extra points for degree of difficulty". Trey, just lay it in. Those 2 points were critical.
