Ok I thought this was worthy of its on thread. Not sure anyone wants to miss this. Take a listen.
It is a make or break point for U.S. soccer. For one they have to figure out how to fire GB while making it look like its not just because Reyna whined. Kind of like They have to say we support the actions that took place with Gio but the information should have kept within the squad and GB failed to do that and w must let him Go.This has to seal Berhalters fate right?
I started watching Tottenham All Or Nothing on Prime Sunday night. The series is three years old but I just never got around to watching it because it’s hard for me to commit to a show.
But I wanted to see what my guy Jose Mourinho was like behind the curtain in the day to day activities at a top EPL club.
I also wanted to see if this is something to recommend to my 80 year old Dad who is always looking for good shows to stream. I don’t think he watched his first international or professional soccer game until 2 years ago when I took him to a sports bar in Orlando to watch Chelsea beat City in the Champions League Final. Now the guy has watched every single World Cup game. I’m not kidding. He’s watched more than me, probably 4 times as much. I’m sure he still has no idea what he’s watching but I’m wondering if the Tottenham show would be something he would enjoy while also learning more about the game. Watching Mourinho coach someone like Harry Kane behind the scenes and how he manages these different personalities is pretty cool. And entertaining.
What would be even better is a USA Soccer All or Nothing show with Jose leading the US program into the 2026 World Cup cycle. That would be tremendous.
He can't be retained and he shouldn't be retained. But this federation is so incompetent, corrupt and full of nepotism, he will stay.
I don't have an issue with how they internally handled their business in Qatar but you cannot come back to the States and give that statement to that group. That stuff stays in the lockerroom no matter how much we as fans want to know the juicy details. No doubt the Derp has learned his lesson but he shouldn't be rewarded with that.
it's a complete clique. Of assholes and dooshbags. My complaint with US Soccer is that its a very small clique who run it. If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd say it seems like they want to keep soccer "small" here in the US so they and their kids can still get jobs/playing contracts. Forever I have said that there isnt any path to the national team for regular multi sport American kids and that its just Europeans and the sons of former pro and D1 players. I wonder if that's the way they want it

On female side they are getting more girls to play. But the US Soccer regime continues to look to the same kids, same clubs, truly closed to adding or scouting new players, and maintain status quo. Which is why they were so unsuccessful this summer across so many age groups. They often show up to an event only focused on a few kids and completely miss the many other potential players that are ripe for development. With the money US Soccer has, it is criminal that they've made absolutely no concerted effort to "win" the best athletes past age 9 or 10.
