So we all know being woke isn’t a new thing. It’s just that tech and social media allow the masses to share thoughts in an instant now whereas in the past, information spread was quite limited and could easily be ignored/squashed from spreading.

So with that said, what are some good songs for a historical woke playlist?

E.g.
Fortunate Son - Fogerty
War Pigs - Black Sabbath
Ohio - CSNY
Born in the USA - Bruce
Civil War - Guns n Roses
BYOB - System of a Down
Hurricane - Bob Dylan
Killin in the name - Rage Against the Machine
One - Metalica

And I love many of these.

But......some of these are about war mongering and getting involved in foreign lands. Which Trump is trying to stop and the Dems celebrate. Government overreach which is weird now as the Left used to be against this now they feel the government should be telling us how to live our lives. So.....yeah. They also held "No Nukes" concerts and now we are looking at nuclear power as a key "renewable" for the future.

Yep. I don’t know who Rage Against the Machine is…but exactly what are they raging against these days?

What about Crosby Stills Nash and Young? Seems what they sang about in the past wouldn’t make them Dems today.

Yup as recruits said the vast majority of songs were anti war. How ironic is it that the left now are war hawks in line with Lady G, John Mcshame, the Shrubs and othered they used to despise.
 
American women is actualy anti war, anti draft message in the lyrics, which is surprising..

Pretty much every song that has USA or America in it is the opposite of a patriot song. from born in the usa, to american woman, American life by madonna, the living in the usa by steve miller, Christ even American Pie by don Mclean. all just mocking the "american dream" idea.

So trying to annex Canada and Greenland is what exactly? Is that not getting involved with foreign lands? Show me dems quoting thry want to send American troops to Ukraine. I didn’t realize sending money in defense of Annexation was pro war.
 
One can favor nuclear power for renewable energy and also be in favor of preventing nuclear war. Drill baby drill only works for so long. There is a finite supply. Extraction will become harder and more costly.

There’s a funny video that keeps popping up on my twitter of a guy who thinks it’s cute to virtue signal for Ukraine, and then finds out that he is now mandated to go fight their war. I just never found it funny enough to post on this board. But if I see it again, I’ll post it here because it is fitting.

Can you explain nuclear power for rewniable
Energy ? Never heard that term before

Also people have been claiming we are going to run out of fossil fuels foe
Decades now and new discoveries indicate we have centuries until the supply is exhausted

I’m all for researching and developing cost effective alternate energy sources. I’m not
for destroying our economy for some
