This was a great poll question and probably the first and only one that I dont think had an easy answer.
I think its difficult because:
(1) Perception-wise with the coaching change in FB, that the football program is going in an improved direction with Barnes/Gallagher/Narduzzi emphasizing and changing things. Reality-wise they are still a 6-6 program over the past 5 seasons, but perception is certainly high on Narduzzi and company. Dixon on the other hand while having the great successful record at Pitt as HC over a sustained period is having issue recruiting top talent and seems that the on-the-floor system that was a blue-collar and tough defense has gone to a run-and-gun which really doesnt play defense nor really is all that great at scoring.
(2) Basketball has a ton of crap games in non-conference and bottom of the pile conference games that helps get to the half way win mark without any toss up games against the quality to much better teams. With FB, there seems to be more of those teams that are quality or better talent wise to Pitt on the schedule and then sprinkle in the YSU/Akron as the cupcakes.
Was a tough vote for me personally. Thoughts?
