....go figure. I guess they thought all the big boys would follow..... NOT!

Do you have a link?

I'm seeing articles about them discussing options, including starting in November, but I haven't seen anything about them starting on time.

From the tweets I saw yesterday is late November was an option to start but it would most likely not be until late December. The whole thing actually seemed like a non story.

They are talking about possibly starting Thanksgiving weekend. They'd truly be simply doing their own thing. Too late to put teams into the playoffs or even bowl games (if they're played). I guess they'd be creating programming for their network and for national broadcasts.

Starting in February as originally proposed will likely see a lot of guys who are in their last year, choose to opt out, as they'll want to be healthy for the NFL combine. So the conference is desperate to move things up by starting around Thanksgiving. Also, a spring season wipes out spring practices, which are important for player development, and gives players very little off-season ahead of the 2021 season. And some spring injuries will jeopardize some player's 2021 seasons.

Actually they think they are the big boys and everyone would rush to follow. Guess they found out differently. Now it's save face time.

The Slap10 is embarrassing themselves further. They have egg all over their faces and don't know what to do after a rushed decision to move sports to spring. Now they're facing team, fan, and athletic department revolt while the ACC, SEC, an B12 are getting ready to play ball.

The recent Thanksgiving start rumors are about the dumbest thing I can think of. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, unless they've finally realized spring ain't gonna happen. But in that case. just start in a month, or first weekend in October.

What a bunch of jamokes.

Think about what that schedule looks like. Will ESPN and Fox want Big Ten games going against Saturday NFL games in December and early January, and then NFL playoff games for a couple more weeks in January?

And as I have pointed out before, games in January and February outside in State College, Minneapolis, Madison, etc. No thanks. But I'm sure the players will love going out there in Minnesota in January when the temperature is 15 degrees and the wind is blowing 20 mph. Just love it.
