With 11 teams right now, they should reabsorb Pitt, Cuse, LVille, and Duke (who is not a part of the 7). That would get them to 15 and maybe they throw BC a branch to get to 16.

Makes perfect sense if the BE also acquired a printing press for endless money being made available for those teams.

Duke isn't going anywhere without North Carolina. And teams want more money, not less. This would never fly for football. The BE would be back where they were 20 years ago with some playing football and some not.

So if Duke and Carolina go to a new conference, that means that conference would need at least another 120 million revenue to add them just to stay even, I don't see that happening.
Anyways I hate the greed of college athletics. Don't really care where any team ends up now.

Somebody better let Duke know that UNC is going somewhere without them then.

Yeah I am shocked that Duke is not part of the 7, but maybe they don’t bring as much to the table? Sort of like VT bolting to ACC. I also proposed it as maybe Pitt needs multiple revenues path. Get to a decent basketball conference and then do a different conference for football and Olympic sports. Finances would be for basketball only. Pitt would join a higher revenue football conference and Duke would up tv contract for Big East basketball.

Yeah, Duke might not be going anywhere without UNC, but UNC is going to have no problem what so ever going somewhere without Duke.

You would think that there are enough smart people at Duke to realize that, but maybe not?

Nice hoops league.
You'd have a much better hoops and league with a combo of big 12 plus other good acc teams and whoever else.
And a better football league.

As a fan that would be much better.

No it wouldn't. I dont care that Baylor and Houston are good at basketball. I'd rather play GT and BC.

Aren't they better at football too?

Yeah as a fan you have your own opinions and preferences. But BC & Gtech mean nothing to me.

I'd rather see Baylor and Houston any day. I'd rather be in a way stronger bball league than now.

In the end I don't care at all, I'm just going to watch Pitt games and the games of whatever league they are in, doesn't natter if it's SEC, B1G or just the same if it's Sun Belt or AAC.
