Bunch of good 2020 & 2021 prospects--happy Capel is on them. Hugley is 6-8 260 4-star PF/C per 247 Pitt Prospect List.

A win over PSU thjis weekend would be a nice bonus recruiting help.

However, a commit from a 2019 big or two would be even better. We know Capel is also trying there, as well.

Yeah no 2019's yet - hopefully Anthony Walker changes that soon.
How many ships for next season ?

"Summer riser Anthony Walker has narrowed his list of schools to eight, set five official visits and one unofficial visit. Walker is down to Boston College, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Miami, Pittsburgh, Rhode Island and VCU. Walker will start with an official visit to Illinois September 6th. He’ll then head to Pittsburgh for his second official visit the weekend of September 15th. (247 Sports)"

I do imagine they will try to close on him next week, but he seems to want to take his visits and make a decision.

I guess with only 3 ships Capel can be patient and selective, but not too patient.
Seniors we lose are gonna be N'Dir and Frame, and I suppose the open ship they have this season.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Capel bring in atleast 4 guys , someone will probably leave that isn't a SR after the season.
Can't wait till we have a competitive team again.

It's more a function of the environment than whether the Fb team is good or not .
Yeah - getting hoops kids on campus when the vibe is ripe both before, and hopefully after a huge win, certainly can't hurt. Those parties get just a wee bit more 'lit' after a big victory.

Haven't heard much about Morton. I was chatting with someone from up in Butler about him a couple weeks ago and said "I guess Morton has moved on from Pitt." The guy looked at me like I was crazy and said that he was indeed "very high on Pitt." I don't think that the guy was a Pitt fan or anything either just someone who is close to several Butler County programs. He didn't say "lock" or anything like that but I was encouraged by it.

Brandon Stone committed to La Salle. For whatever reason Capel didn't seem at all interested in Stone. Good luck to him.

Pitt has stopped recruiting Gaffney, may have stopped recruiting Mitchell. No visit yet from Wong (Im not sure how much interest there is), Cockburn was supposed to visit but it doesnt appear we are getting one.

From the looks of it the top targets may be Walker, Wahab, and Ledlum. And if we got those 3 that would be a dam good class to get behind the 2018 class. You cant teach athletic ability. My understanding is we are in the Top 2 or 3 for each of these guys.

No need to waste ships on projects with little upside with little athletic ability. We are on enough top talent in 2020 and 2021 and dont need to waste ships on players that cant play. We have reached out to Beran a few times but I think goal one in 2019 is to get Walker. And with the team of jumping jacks we just brought in with the 2018 class, Walker fits in beautifully. His upside is huge.

The same reason most schools aren't interested. He was overhyped by PSN and a few other local outlets because he was the best Stallings had a chance at.
