Pitt's alumni and fan base. The staff and admin is in place.
Yep, the Negative Nellies will be returning as PittPoker posted all game long, PittPoker gave up when he started to looking for people to back him as Pitt was trying to made a comeback, he will now tell us he is dealing with low self-esteem and high expectations, I suspect! LOL!Pitt's alumni and fan base. The staff and admin is in place.
You're right but why would you be here if you're not a Pitt fan?????No one is obligated to be a fan of Pitt.
The fans gave up no sacks and 0 passing and rushing yards today.
The fans did not lose the game today or win the game last Saturday.

You win big with elite players, and elite players want a supportive fan base. Fans that sit on a message board or at home and bitch rather than attending the game are the biggest obstacle.
Miami has South Beach, a bigger talent pool, and they paid their guys in the 80's and 90's. 50k+ supportive fans for every game is not asking a lot. Then Miami has no hope.... because they draw 1/4 of the fans that we do to their home games.
Elite players want to get to the NFL. That's what they want. That's why a guy like Calipari in basketball can recruit at UMass and Memphis - the promise of making money playing the sport.
Pitt won a national championship in 1976 averaging 45,000 per game. Miami won multiple championships in the 80s and 90s, despite playing in front of half-full stadiums most of the time.
If you can get elite players into the pros, you'll get the recruits. That matters 10 times more than the number of people at the games.

Yes it is. You can count on two hands how many times that was the average attendance for Pitt football.Miami has South Beach, a bigger talent pool, and they paid their guys in the 80's and 90's. 50k+ supportive fans for every game is not asking a lot.

Did you think my answer could be more hypothetical as opposed to personal? Sheesh. Chill. How, in God's name, could you possibly conclude that I am not a Pitt fan\? Perhaps because I do not blame attendance for our poor performance throughout the past thirty years? Your reasoning is baffling.
Well, if that is the case, players might as well go to Penn State as they have many more players in the pros compared to Pitt. Then Miami has no hope.... because they draw 1/4 of the fans that we do to their home games.

Biggest obstacle to what?Pitt's alumni and fan base. The staff and admin is in place.

Cool. But you appeared to be very offended in your original response. Just wanted to point out it truly wasn't pointing a finger at you.Not meant to be offensive, but that sounds a bit paranoid. I take nothing on these sites as personal as most posters are anonymous. Thanks for your reply. I'm done.
