Walton is commenting the Notre Dame/UCLA game on ABC with Digger Phelps and I can't stop laughing.
Digger is clearly annoyed...lol.

He should be buried treasure at this point (and for all you sensitive folks I don’t mean dead). His act is tired and for me he takes away from broadcast instead of adding.
I am 1000% with you. If Walton is on I either turn the sound off or switch channels.
I find him oddly entertaining. I like him picking on the guys he broadcasts with. He is much better than Dickie V screaming his dumb sayings like diaper dandy and the like. Granted, he comes from a different era, but I would think most guys would enjoy him, because most of the guys I know enjoy a ball buster!Walton is commenting the Notre Dame/UCLA game on ABC with Digger Phelps and I can't stop laughing.

And that has what to do with the actual game? I can see a bit of schtick in football because the broadcast is so much longer. But hoops? As someone posted up above it's always a problem when analysts think they're the show, not the actual game.I find him oddly entertaining. I like him picking on the guys he broadcasts with. Here's another Wooden story for ya...lolIf he cut his schtick in half then I might be able to tolerate him but it’s just tooooooooo much to listen to for a full college game broadcast. Also, I don’t give too shits about John Wooden. Enough Wooden stories. Great coach but UCLA had a bag man and Wooden knew it.
He sounded like a jerk at the Maui Tournament, and it was all Dan Shulman could do to not tell him that on live TV.He should be buried treasure at this point (and for all you sensitive folks I don’t mean dead). His act is tired and for me he takes away from the broadcast instead of adding.

I don’t even bother to be anywhere near the TV when he’s on. He’ not allowed in my house. One night he was doing a game when I was at a bar with the sound off, and I had one drink and got up and left. It ruined my drink just just looking at him.I am 1000% with you. If Walton is on I either turn the sound off or switch channels.
It’s like watching a car crash in slow motion .I couldn't stop watching! If Walton and Digger are doing any more games together with Pasch as the straight man (I mean play by play) sign me up!!!
They were hilarious! Outstanding as far as entertainment value.
That’s actually hilariousNotre Dame player turns over the ball.
Bill: Check the box for color blindness
Lololol
For me cilantro tastes like taking a piece of soap, shaving it and placing it on my tongue.I like Cilantro. And I love listening to Walton. Especially some mundane, middle of the season BB game. I don't need some hoop geek, always explaining X's and O's, sometimes I just want to be entertained.

Appears Walton is like cilantro - you either love it or hate it.
Oddly enough, for me that's what Bill Walton's like.
On a good day.
Seriously though, he'd be a great guy to sit down and have a beer with. But when I'm watching a basketball game it's because at least at some level I care about the actual game going on on the court. And way too often, Bill just simply doesn't care, or heck, even sometimes seem to notice, that there's a game going on that he's supposed to be commenting on.
I don't feel like it takes away from the game. I just feel as though it supplements the entertainment value of the game. I don't watch to see Bill Walton, but, when I do see him, I know I am going to laugh quite a bit during the broadcast. And that has what to do with the actual game? Okay...so I’m not a Walton fan but us west coast guys are still watching Utah hammer on Kentucky right now.
Walton is on a roll. He asked Pasch if he had ever read some book by Tarkanian (I think), when Pasch said no Walton asked him if he can read...too funny.
He then said the Utah point guard looked like Dennis the Menace, lol
Utah won 69-66. Final hardly seems a "hammering." Was Utah up big earlier?
