Not surprising. Hopefully they tell him he needs to lose weight and defend and he comes back a better player for it
Seems like it will be a good evaluation for him and I would assume they will tell him the things you mentioned. Hopefully he comes back and is one of the best players in the ACC.Not surprising. Hopefully they tell him he needs to lose weight and defend and he comes back a better player for it
He’s gonna be back. He’s not good enough for the G league and Europe won’t want a 3 No D AmericanI would expect he would be back. This is a situation where you would hope Pitt could pay him more than the G-league or Europe
1 million percent noMost likely back but anyone out there think that maybe Pitt can upgrade from what he has to offer?
Absolutely not. Most likely back but anyone out there think that maybe Pitt can upgrade from what he has to offer? He can take over a game with his bombs but imagine a gunner who is athletic AND CAN DEFEND & REBOUND…guess they go to the bluebloods or the minors.
The player you just described is a 5 star one and done who goes to Duke or Kansas. Most likely back but anyone out there think that maybe Pitt can upgrade from what he has to offer? I don’t know the dollars involved in either one of those scenarios…
But it could be a situation where NIL would really be doing right by a player in a borderline situation. If he could make a similar amount of money and get an extra year, he delays his NBA judgment day. That extra year of development, getting in shape, or whatever, might get him on the positive side of that fence.
Yeah. That's something that has crossed my mind too, as I tend to think the leadership Pitt got from Burton last year might be missed on the court at times. The player you just described is a 5 star one and done who goes to Duke or Kansas.
I worry a little that Hinson will get very reckless next year as the oldest guy- he already didn't hold back but if he's the senior he might let it fly even worse. There's no way we are better without him tho.
Pretty sure he can grad transfer, assuming he has graduated in all of his schooling. That’s the only thing to worry about here.Is he officially out of transfer eligibility?
If you want to look at it that way but if Hinson can make more at Pitt than Europe or the G-league, that is pay for play so technically shouldn't be allowed
Why not? What’s different from the Wild West of NIL? It’s clearly not just businesses, etc paying someone to help their businesses. Most of the big money is pay for play.
NIL is going to cause some scenarios where players….especially good college players whose skills don’t completely translate…can make more in college.
Digressing - I’m not sure if this is a player or situation where Pitt suddenly finds a giant bag in order to keep him. But you can see this scenario where good to great college players could be worth more to their college teams. Probably would see that more in football.
