What people like Joe Lunardi don't understand (Lunardi starts getting some inside information starting about 5 days before the NCAA Tournament starts), is that injuries absolutely effect seed lines. And Lunardi is useless until 5 days or so before the NCAA Tournament.
Mawot Mag just tore his acl. Rutgers has lost 3 straight games since the injury and they have 0 wins since the injury. They just took a Q3 loss at home to Nebraska by 10 points. Rutgers has a fancy looking NET ranking right now that is going to start to plummet, but anyone that follows college basketball understands they are in serious trouble right now and are not going to get a 6 seed like Joe Lunardi predicts. The injury stinks, but they cant win right now and they arent getting special ncaa tournament seeding treatment because one of their best players is lost for the season.
The NCAA Selection committee is by no means perfect or even great. But they are far better than Lunardi, Palm, or bracket matrix or any of these other bracketology sites.
Palm is another one. He bumped Mizzou all the way up to the 4 line and they lost by about 40 tonight. Our resume is superior to Mizzou.
