When do we play Marshall like next season.
They look good leading # 24 Boise St.

With our luck Marshall will follow the UCF model and become a national power.

Why can't we find some really bad OOC teams?

Instead we schedule the outlier programs who become really good.

Fyi people Boise State has a freshman QB and he looks good so why do we always use he's a freshman as our excuse?

All I know is IF Marshall could pull this off, there will be riots in Tallahassee.

Because Pitt is an excuse-driven program. I just thank God I no longer read on here “Jackie said for every freshman you start you lose a game.”

At Marshall, at Western Michigan, and at Cincinnati are guaranteed losses and stupid games to schedule

Or potential losses.
We should follow the PSU model and find teams who have no chance of winning and we might score 79 pts.
Except in the bizarro world of college football, those awful teams guaranteed to let you butt rape them command premium prices. Pitt could never outbid PSU or others like them. It's why we have to schedule home and homes with decent non-P5 FBS teams as our "easy" games.

As with the condoned cheating and excessive scholarships and all the other bullshit that solely benefits blue bloods, Pitt and other mongrel schools like us should band together and try to affect change. For sure the risk is that the blue bloods would secede and form its own "XCAA" of sorts. But I think it's worth calling the bluff. The blue bloods don't want to exclusively play each other and tarnish their records. They need the mongrels. And there will always be blue bloods and mongrels. But much like income inequality, things have simply swung too far in the favor of the 1 percenters.

Something has to give eventually. Interest in Pitt football and many like us is dying because we have no realistic chance to ever win. True we don't try as much as we could but the rules are also against us.

Week # 1 Boise is down 18 at half against FSU and wins.

Week # 1 PITT is up by 1 at half and loses big.

I watched a lot of the Boise FSU game and the Boise players were fired up the whole game.

I was at the PITT vs VA game, PITT down by only 9, PITT players looked beat, and seemed to give up.

Something doesnt't seem right.

I posted this in another thread.....and I know it is something that people don't want to hear, but it is the truth.

Pitt is closer to the better FCS teams than they are to Clemson. Or Alabama. Ohio State. Etc....That's where we are as a football program.

What is most disappointing, I don't think we can or will move from this spot.

Our offense wouldn't hang 79 on Sto-Rox, unfortunately. Though I do think that FBS vs FCS should be disallowed. Of all forms of player exploitation, FCS schools profiting off the beatdowns endured by its football players who will never see a dime of that money seems to be about the silliest.

Did a Boise St coach just congratulate players after a BOISE ST turnover? I literally watched it 2 times just to make sure. WTF

Hank Bachmeier was a legit 4 star recruit who was one of the top QB prospects in the country. His offer sheet includes multiple SEC, BIG, and PAC schools. Just because he went to Boise doesn’t mean he’s some kind of underdog coming out of nowhere.

Had he signed with Pitt he would probably be our highest rated recruit outside of Ford and Hamlin.

I know this....I would kill for Hank Bachmaier to be our QB. True Freshman......TRUE FRESHMAN.
Who would you kill?
Let us know so we have time to run.

But I agree.

PITT freshman aren't any good until they're seniors.
So the freshman are still good it just takes them four years to get good.

I have become convinced that pitt is jinxed. This simply happens with to much regularity. Ok st was a solid 7 or 8 win program pitt puts them on the schedule and they have the 2 or 3 best years in program history. Ucf same thing. Ohio is better this year than they have been in forever. If you want pitt to start winning we are going to have to find away to break the black magic
