With the new 12-team college football playoff taking all the "good bowls," thoughts on something like this to reimagine the bowl system for the 21st century:

Do one pod in Florida between Orlando, Tampa, and Miami played at smaller stadiums.

Do one pod in California between LA and San Diego also at smaller stadiums.

A team can't go to the same pod in back-to-back years.

Bring the players together in a few resort hotels and give them a ton of stuff to do. Have all bowls done before Christmas so the kids get to have a fun week in a warm weather location with fun activities where they get to meet other college players, catch up with guys they know, etc. I think (I don't know, I'm not a college football player) it's an actual reward for the players and you still get home for the holidays.

Basically, make it a college-aged Little League World Series.

Costs would be lower by centralizing them.

Fans would be more interested in going because they'd all be in warm weather locations that people like visiting. Plus, it'd be fun to see a few games kind of like how people drive around Florida or Arizona during spring training and see several MLB spring training games.

It won't make guys not sit out, but I think it would be cool.
