Look, Brandon, being an assistant at Rutgers is doing nothing for your career. Thinking you are going to get a big time coaching job with this path is like thinking being the Assistant Mgr at the Sheetz in Moon Twp is going to get you an executive job with Exxon.
Get a HC gig. Wagner, Monmouth, Marist, LIU, RMU, St Francis, NJIT, somewhere. Start managing your own program and build from there. You get a nice turnaround, an NCAA bid, hell pull an upset in it, and programs will be knocking your door down.
But just as a sitting Assistant at a moribound program like Rutgers? Ain't gonna happen.
