You might remember the incident: His teammate texted him and asked him to bring his gun to him outside of a bar where there was an altercation. Miller did. His teammate shot and killed a 23 year old woman.

Miller was never charged. The local police said that since he didn’t hand the gun to the shooter, there was no crime with which he could be charged.

So, remember: If a friend asks you to bring him a loaded gun at 1 am, you can do it as long as you leave it on the front seat of your car and the friend opens the door and retrieves it. You won’t be charged…if you are a star BB player for Alabama. And, you can bring along two other BB players who can sit in the back of the car as the 3 of you watch your friend kill a woman. But, of course, none of you expected there to be shooting. You were shocked that someone who had you bring him a gun would actually use it.

I hope that woman’s family files a wrongful death action against Miller and gets a judgment for every penny he ever earns playing basketball.
