BREAKING: Dept of Education fines PSU $2.4mil over Sandusky coverup

Paterno then had a text message sent to players telling them that if they went to the university's judicial affairs to answer code of conduct complaints they'd be "thrown off the team," the report said.
But it's just us Pitt fans making things up....
Success with honor!!!! Unreal

This is old news, but...certainly worth repeating.
I suppose the cult is using the 'Joe was a total moron' defense again, with something like "well, Joe didn't know what 'judicial affairs' was, he was only a football coach. He thought 'Judicial Affairs' might be the name of a strip club, and he was only trying to protect his players from moral harm."

Again?!?!?!. 3 times in 1 hour!!!!! 3 times $2.4 million = $7.2 million. Now this fine really IS getting significant!!!!

No actually the Clery Act fine of $2.4 million coupled with the recent Mike Mcqueary judgement of $7.3 million against Penn State will total $9.3 million Penn State will have to pay within the last few weeks.

Just wanted to correct your numbers.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Well I thought about this for about 5 seconds and decided I don't care. It won't slow down their recruiting as 18 year olds don't care ( just like I said when the sanctions came out) and it won't cost them any wins this season or seasons to come. They have proven to be immune from any of this.

Only $25K was for Sandusky related violations. The remaining $MM's were for other violations. Let's be accurate.

My source told me they could be looking at more sanctions

I was referring to this being the third thread on this board within an hour as regards this topic.

That's even worse. Proves that the corruption and lack of institutional control there supersedes just the Sandusky horror. It permeates the entirety of the place. Willing violations of the federal Clery Act are a disgrace.

From PSU Cultists on BWI that are upset the Panther-Lair were right and they never understood How Penn State was cited for not following Athletic & Academic Integrity Rules plus some costs associated to date and the Clery report cites Paterno:
"It Is Also True, However, That As The University Took Steps To Enhance And Formalize Its Student Disciplinary Processes, Paterno Repeatedly Resisted Attempts To Have These Measures Applied To His Program. These Attempts Unquestionably Adversely Affected The Administration Of The Student Conduct Process. What Ensued Was An Overlong And Dysfunctional Standoff Between The Football Program And Student Affairs Officials With The President Positioned Somewhere Between The Two Sides."

Penn State University Football Scandal Cost To Date:
2012-13 - $4.264 billion
2013-14 - $4.415 billion
2014-15 - $4.638 billion
2015-16 - $4.901 billion
2016-17 - $5.141 billion
And
Tuition&Fees have increased from:
$15,135 for Fr and So To $17,900 for Fr and So
$17,348 for Jr and Sr To $21,174 for Jr and Sr
18-22% increases!
Someone else can verify it!

Addendum Pitt Tution:
After a freeze last year, university officials are stressing that the increase is one of the smallest percentage hikes in 41 years. Base tuition at Pitt's main campus will jump from $17,292 to $17,688 a year.

I hope you are not trying to make PoSU look better, because that statement makes them look even worse.

So funny. Little J trying to blindly defend the fines and the football program while throwing the rest of the university under the bus.
