According to Jerry D., Brian O'Neill practiced with the first team at OT while Bookser had a minor injury. Brian really moved up the depth chart quick - sounds like it was a good decision to move him to tackle... Here's what Jerry D. had in his article:

"Notable

Offensive tackle Alex Bookser and outside linebacker Nicholas Grigsby were limited in the morning practice session by injuries that aren't considered serious. Tackle Brian O'Neill and linebacker Jamal Davis worked with the first team."

Go Pitt.

He has made a quick transition to OT. His footwork looks good and the weight gain came fast. If can add another 20 lbs he will be a good OT. Good move for the him and the team.

Narduzzi is getting guys in the right place. Briggs went from a totally forgotten RB, mentioned only with walk-ons, to a guy who is now the #1 nickel back on D. Conklin also said he is quickly learning the CB spot, and challenging guys on the depth chart there as well.
Folston was deep on the depth chart at MLB, but was moved to DE. I hope he makes his mark there as quickly as Briggs and O-Neill are making theirs, after position changes.

Eh, we'll start to find out the true answers soon enough. Right now, before a game has been played, everything is sunshine and rainbows.

we see articles like this every year after camp starts. come september we don't hear anything more. i will wait until briggs is making plays on saturdays before i get to excited. caprera has been making plays all over the field in august for 3 years.

even if true, this does not say good things about our defense. a guy is completely buried on the rb depth chart moves to defense and in a very short amount of time he is now the #1 nickel back.

everything always sound great in august.
