- Pitt played their worst game of the season last year at home against Miami in a 51-28 loss that wasn't as close as the score. The following week, they won AT Clemson.

- Pitt put up 261 total yards against Villanova in last season's opener. Peterman was pedestrian going 19-32 for 175. Pitt put up 348 total yards today and Browne was pedestrian going 17-24 for 140.

-Bookser is back next week.

-Blewitt missed his 1st three FGs last year, all badly, and then later made the biggest kick in Pitt history. Kessman's a freshman and these were his first ever kicks.

- College football is 75% emotion. Pitt coasted with a big halftime lead and had trouble turning it back on. Next week is a rivalry game... teams show up for those.

Q Hen, Bookser. I actually think the offense will function at a competent level next week. I do not expect greatness. Pitt offense is about diversions and confusion. Didn't do any of that today. Certainly some level of shifting will reenter the playbook next week, opening up those gashing jet sweeps and what not. But the ineptitude of the defense is just too much to overcome. If they couldn't create pressure against ysu, it's not gonna happen in beaver stadium.

Pitt lost AT Miami last year, not at home. The U plays at Pitt this year.
