I would have thought he would be in a better spot career wise by now. Rutgers is underachieving in spite of some big time talent this year. Unfortunately if he wasn’t a Pitt legend he would be light years off our radar.
If Pitt hired an assistant coach from a team that has been to the Round of 64 1 time in 9 years, there would be riots in the streets if it was anyone but a guy who played here. BK isn't even close to being qualified. He has to go win somewhere at the MM level first but has no motivation
Thank you for your comment, Mrs. Knight. He’s unmotivated and unqualified. That said, go to St. Peter’s for 3 years, then to an A-10 school for 3 and have success and then you might have something.
Do we really think he would come here as an assistant over being an assistant at Rutgers? Could we pay him more? Does he have family in the NJ area that would be tough to pull him away from?

Ummmm.....of course he would. For one, Pikiell is only 2 years away from being fired.
Rutgers is 12-14 with two Top 5 NBA Draft picks, but yeah let’s hire their 3rd chair assistant coach.
Not just Top 5. They are #2 and #3. Pikiell doing one of the worst coaching jobs in recent memory this season

you guys mock candidates with no HC experience and we have a whole bench of coaches with former Head Coaching experience now.

Our program took a step back when he was the #1 assistant and Rutgers hasn’t set the world on fire either with him in that chair.
im not necessarily saying him, just the idea that you need HC experience to succeed. our Staff has the most HC experience of any coaching staff in the country and we get boatraced by mediocre teams bi-weekly.
What's that saying about insanity? It seems it describes many on this board and the Pitt administration.
Yeah, mid or low major head coaching experience has never been less important or relevant. Should Knight go coach a high school team at some private school? That’s just as relevant.
