We take things personal when in fact they are not.
It would have been worse for us if he had chosen Clemson. Their recruiting is trending upwards, but they don't have the cachet that FSU does. Hamilton would have just found another top 50 guy, but McGowens is a big loss for a program that is closer to us in terms of competitiveness.

Potentially because he has a good relationship with Capel and wanted to tell him in person before he told FSU?
What I believe helped him choose them is that they are going to have him play PG and I don't think JC was thinking of him as a PG because he is seen as a good shooter with some handle JC seen him as a great fit as a SG.
So it makes sense for him to go there and they like playing a big team. They're usually one of the bigger teams in the ACC from point guard to Center.

He could have told Coach C that he was committing elsewhere and still committed off the Pitt campus. Don't ya think?
