There are a TON of games tomorrow besides Pitt-FSU that will potentially have an impact on Pitt's quest to win the ACC, to crack the Top 25, and to get a higher seed in the NCAA Tournament.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
West Virginia (15-9, NET 19) at Texas (19-5, NET 10) - Noon, ESPN2
- Texas is a lock for the dance. But still, I can't bring myself to root for WVU. The Hoopies will stay in the Top 30 regardless of what happens in this game, so it won't impact Pitt if they lose. I want WVU to sweat down the stretch. Plus, Texas has pretty cheerleaders. Go Longhorns!
NC State (19-6, NET 43) at Boston College - Noon, ACCNX
- Pitt could potentially jump NC State in NET (and the polls) if NC St were to blow this game. It would also make Pitt's bid for a double-bye in the ACC Tourney a lot more likely...... Go Eagles!
Kentucky (16-8, NET 40) at Georgia - Noon, ESPN
- If Kentucky loses this game, they would be on the wrong side of the bubble... incredibly. Go Bulldogs!
Penn State (14-10, NET 62) at Maryland (16-8, NET 28) - Noon, BTN
- Penn State is reeling. Lost 3 straight and 7 of last 10. Time to put them out of their misery. Go Terrapins!
Clemson (18-6, NET 70) at North Carolina (15-9, NET 44) - 2:00pm, ESPN2
- North Carolina desperately needs a win. And Pitt fans should definitely want them to get one here. Go Tar Heels!
Alabama (21-3, NET 2) at Auburn (17-7, NET 32) - 2:00pm, ESPN
- Auburn is a team that Pitt will be battling with for seeding. Go Crimson Tide!
UConn (19-6, NET 6) at Creighton (16-8, NET 15) - 2:00pm, FOX
- Both of these teams are WAY overrated by the NET. In the polls, they are #21 and #23 respectively, so the loser might drop behind Pitt. I think Creighton is in a more precarious position than UConn, so.... Go Huskies!
Rutgers (16-8, NET 21) at Illinois (16-7, NET 26) - 2:00pm, FS1
- Another game featuring teams that the NET gives way too much love to. Both are probably in the tournament, but Rutgers is ranked #24 and already lost once this week. A win here might keep them in the polls. So.... Go Illini!
Wisconsin (14-9, NET 72) at Nebraska - 4:00pm, BTN
- The Badgers are almost at the point where they need to win out. Go Huskers!
Duke (17-7, NET 29) at Virginia (18-4, NET 14) - 4:00pm, ESPN
- Either result helps Pitt in some way. But if we want to win the ACC Regular Season Title outright, we want Virginia to take a loss somewhere. It would be beneficial for Virginia to lose here. Go Blue Devils!
UNLV at San Diego State (19-5, NET 22) - 4:00pm, FOX
- SDSU is a team Pitt can pass in the polls. Go Rebels!
Georgia Tech at Wake Forest (16-9, NET 67) - 5:00pm, ACCN
- If Wake Forest loses this game, their NCAA dreams are d-e-a-d. Go Yellow Jackets!
USC (17-7, NET 57) at Oregon State - 6:00pm, PAC12
- USC needs a win, after getting blown out by Oregon earlier this week. Go Beavers!
Missouri (18-6, NET 51) at Tennessee (19-5, NET 3) - 6:00pm, SECN
- Tennessee has been struggling recently, but this is a game that we want them to win. Missouri is right next to Pitt in the NET rankings so we want them to lose. Go Vols!
Oklahoma State (15-9, NET 34) at Iowa State (16-7, NET 13) - 6:00pm, ESPN2
- Oklahoma State is firmly on the bubble and needs a win here. Iowa State is in the tournament. Go Cyclones!
Indiana (17-7, NET 20) at Michigan (14-10, NET 64) - 6:00pm, ESPN
- A Michigan win could get them close to the Top 50 in NET.... which would make our loss to them a Q1 loss instead of a Q2. Go Wolverines!
Mississippi State (16-8, NET 48) at Arkansas (17-7, NET 23) - 6:00pm, ESPNU
- This is a tough one, but probably slightly better for Pitt if Mississippi State lost Go Razorbacks!
Seton Hall (15-10, NET 59) at Villanova - 8:00pm, FS1
- Seton Hall is hanging on by a thread. If they lose this game, it would be hard to overcome. Go Wildcats!
Texas A&M (17-7, NET 37) at LSU - 8:30pm, SECN
- A&M is a team that might be competing with Pitt for seeding. So.... Go Tigers!
UCLA (20-4, NET 5) at Oregon (15-10, NET 50) - 10:00pm, ESPN
- Would be better if Oregon lost. Might move Pitt up another spot in NET. Plus.... UCLA Cheerleaders. Amirite? Go Bruins!
