He'll get some points. He often does. We just need to make sure he has a whole lot of misses to get them (as often does.)

You must be joking, right? The only thing that would have been worse than watching the Louisville game would have been to watch it with Mav Rowan as a Panther. That guy was vastly overrated by this board. He might be an ok player in a couple of years, but nothing to have created all the handwringing and anxiety. Instead of treating the kid like some sort of big deal, he should simply be ignored.

He's the kind of guy that will shoot 6 for 21 and end up with 19 points. But he can have a day like that any time as far as I'm concerned. He's a high-volume shooter, but percentages aren't that great.

this board would hate Rowan if he was a Panther. NO defense, no rebounding, no passing and low percentage shooting. How is this kid on the floor for NC State for 35 minutes a game ? must have been a deal in writing with daddy Rowan. He may be a decent player in a few years, but he is absolutely terrible now. of course, he will hit 6 out of 7 three pointers against Pitt.

From what I have seen of this kid, he's an overall terrible player. The only way he gets any points is to shoot high volumes of shots. He can't move, doesn't create his own shot, can't defend at all, can't pass, just a poor player. If he had gone to Pitt, he'd be on the bench most of the time and only get maybe 5 minutes a game. That way, he couldn't do much damage.

Maybe he'll score 12 points on 4 for 25 three point shots. But he'll give up 30 points on the other end with poor defense.

Beating them will be the medicine we need to serve Rowan. I get the feeling that deep down he would still be happy if his team lost, but he dropped 25

He wouldn't be sniffing any minutes this year because he just has zero desire to play defense. And we all know that you have to put energy into D to get PT from Jamie.

He and his father would have felt disrespected by not playing and he would have transferred (probably mid year a la Khem) and it would have been a wasted scholly.

Truthfully, both parties ended up in a better place with how things worked out. Let's just whoop the Wolfpack and build on the BC momentum and put that U of L debacle further in the past.

l hope they give out Maverick Killed Goose t shirts, if only we had Ice Jerry McCullough we would be set

You really can't underestimate how much of a blessing it was he went elsewhere. If ever there was a guy who just was never gonna work out or even fit in here, it was this kid. Doesn't play anything at all like Pitt used to play, not good enough to succeed in Pitt's new style of play. Honestly until people on this board went wild over him, I had no idea he was from the area or barely even who he was at all for that matter. If he's lucky he only gets two airball chants started for him all night Tuesday.

I've watched him a couple times this season against different types of defenses. Typically he runs to a spot and stands there for the set. He doesn't move well when he has to and he has yet to actually guard someone. He's a liability at this point to his team and will be for the next two at NCST because they don't have the makeup at the 1, 4 and 5 to afford the luxury of playing 4 on 5 in their set offense.

One guarantee though, he will score a bunch of points, and at least one person will ask, "why didn't we get him, Jamie needs to close on local recruits".

I also predict that Anya will score 4 points on 2 put back dunks and someone on the board will claim he "looks good".

We should BOO him every time he makes a shot and CHEER him whenever he misses... calling out his name... MAVRICK... MAVRICK.... MAVRICK.

If his dad has the nerve to show up at The Pete the ZOO should harass him right out of the building. Mass calling out his name and mass pointing at him until he gets up and leaves and then it should be LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT until he hits the exit and then GET OUT OF HERE rather than sit down.

They deserve it and we should count on the ZOO to make it happen.

They probably won't boo his dad I imagine. I doubt he would leave even if they do. The other stuff is a given.

The dad played the system as opposed of the system using his son. He parlayed his sons ability to gain a better job that benefited his family, how's that bad. If the kids play is as described they did Pitt and JD a favor. The zoo giving him the business is kosher adults doing the same is childish.

Silliness. Who cares??

He is a good shooter. I will give him that. He is average at best at rebounding and defense. If his shot is on, then he could easily get 20+ points against us. It would be interesting to see what his +/- is for the season. It worked out best for both sides.

Why? Who cares? Who would you want him to replace on the team now? Lets show some class instead.
I don't mind if the students taunt him. It's what they do (and maybe should do). When I was a student, I would be hoarse for like 3 days I would scream so loud. But I haven't done that since I was like 20. Now I'm the guy telling the guy in front of me to sit down, I can't see. :p

And based on when (the order) they committed if Mac stays we probably don't get maia. Look at the upside of that .

He shoots sub 40% from the floor

Against Unc he scored 10 points on 15 shots, that's not good shooting
