... can't do post game thoughts until this evening because I've good a number of things to do the rest of the afternoon.

This is too bad, of course, because it's truly a great deal of fun writing stuff after a game like "this."

And "this" was the best game by the Panthers since the win over Duke in 2016.

That’s OK. Gives you more time to compose your thoughts!

Having to wait a few hours for you to write (and for us to read) your dribbles after a big, sweeping win has got to be one of the most pleasing "bummers" we could have.

No beer goggles needed to absolutely love this win!!

Agree that was pretty damn satisfying. A treat to watch Pitt play any game, But when they play like that, it’s FANTASTIC!

I’m having a Rogue Dead Guy Ale right now to celebrate. A very tasty beer, indeed!

DT...as the group, James, sings “Say something, say something, anything.....”

and let‘s not forget the Stones singing , “I’m not waiting on a lady, I’m just waiting on a friend!”

Lol....happily waiting as today, a friend asked have we arrived, and I said, today, we showed what we can be..a good team, getting better every game!

No hurry, my friend, waiting for goodness is always a delight!

Hail to PITT!

While we are talking microbrews, I had a customer give me some bottles of Pliny the Elder. Tonight is going to be my first chance to partake and am looking forward to it.

For those who have had it before what is your opinion, as good as advertised or overrated?

Really good....but not THAT good to search it out for weeks...and overpriced. I'll stick to Iron City.

Let us know what you think. Never had it. I’d love to try it but not willing to try to jump all the hurdles to get it.

I did get lucky enough for a buddy to give me a can of Heady Topper. That was really good.

I'm embarrassed to say that I have never had a Pliny -- neither Elder or Younger. I've just never been anywhere where it was available.

Watched the first half of the football game at one of the local places and had a few (drafts) of Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin Ale, which isnt outstanding but I enjoy it and it’s a comfortable beer for me.

As soon as I got home I opened the Pliny the Elder, am about halfway through now and I like it. If I was more of a beer aficionado maybe I’d be slightly disappointed give the buildup, but it’s certainly very good to someone like me. There were a few bottles of Blind Pig in the gift basket as well and I enjoyed those also.

I was told by a bar owner it’s quite a bit easier to get this year, not sure if thats due to less demand because of Covid or whatever, but I’m glad I got to give it a try.

Pappy van winkle really is something special. I am much more of a bourbon drinker than a craft beer guy and can say pappy van winkle is one of those rare things in life that more than lives up to expectations.

Do you know where one can find Pliny in Pittsburgh?

I do not. Live in Las Vegas and the vendor that gave me the beer is headquartered in Fresno.

When I looked it up it seemed to me that it was more readily available than normal, and a bar owner confirmed it. It really is good, although I’d be lying if I didn’t say a big part of that was being so excited to finally give it a try.

You can't get it in Pittsburgh but it is generally available at Monks Cafe in Philly, which I believe is currently closed because of Covid protocols

It's not that hard to find if you're in San Francisco. But not easy to find on draft in the east.
