Bunch of babies.

They’ve been successful for a long time. But when I see them play, it just screams “entitlement”.

The players. The coaches. The fans. It’s like the opponent is just there for their entertainment. When everything doesn’t go their way, they whine and complain maybe more than anyone.

Glad to see Pitt knock them down a peg. Hope it ignites something for this Pitt team, too.

Don’t let Dicky V hear this, to him duke is college basketball, ya know, the dukies baby

Apologies if this was posted elsewhere.

You can go f*** yourself buddy.

Says the guy that threw a fit when they finally called a foul on him for pushing his way toward the basket. Tobacco road refs give him so much leeway to bull his way in the paint possession after possession. It seemed like every time a Pitt and Duke player went up together under the basket, the Pitt player ended up on the floor and the Duke player either scored or came down with the ball.

Double standard and it was a great win!!! Too bad some trolls try to ruin it on here for us true Pitt fans!!!!! H2P

When you normally get your way--whether that occurs at Duke, or wherever he was raised--you become entitled. Obviously he can't see that objectively, all he knows is his experience and how he's been treated.

Every time they showed their fans last night, I had to check my guide to make sure I wasn't watching a Harry Potter cosplay convention or Magic the Gathering tournament.

Coach K was one of those dudes who was such a great guy... as long as things were going his way. As soon as something happened he didn't like, he made that "I just sucked on a lemon" face and starter lecturing people on things. I think he probably gets slapped around at home a bit and then projects, honestly. I've seen the pants suits.

I think he’s actually talking about his own fans flicking Hinson off
I get it , he says " what they did ", meaning the students, hence his use of "taking it with a grain o salt" makes more sense., basically saying "What do you expect after razzing the kid all night"....

Don't think so. He was asked a direct question about Pitt's celebration. He said "they" several times in a short reply, and he was referring to Pitt each time.

I didn't like Hinson's antics either and did find it to be over the line.

I recall back in the 99 season when Khalid El Amin of #1 ranked UCONN did the same thing after hitting the game winning shot in the Fieldhouse. I didn't like it then and our fans threw drinks at him while Coach Calhoun was trying to rip him off the scorers table.

This is true but I think student sections are like this at most places, even at Pitt. I used to play basketball at Trees a lot and also pretty much knew all the former WPIAL players who were regular students at Pitt, and not a single one of those types of students ever went to basketball games. I always thought that was strange since you thought they'd be the target market. But the student section was mostly nerds. Not the whole student section, but most of it. I surmised that these former basketball players or more athletic types thought they were too cool to go jump around for a few hours at a Pitt game.

To some extent, but it seemed especially noticeable with Duke. Like a lot of them looked like they were descendants of hobbits or something. I'll at least see some shirtless dude bros at the Pitt games.

Don't get me wrong, he may be the player of the year in the ACC so I'm not saying he stinks or anything.

But I noticed in the first Duke game, Filipowski didn't want to guard GD-G. He'd force his teammate to switch men before the whistle, and would cover Austin, depsite the huge height difference. It didn't matter much in the first game since he ate Federiko mostly alive on the other hand. But Federiko played better in round two and Filipowski (injured tbf) struggled at times with GD-G. I really thinks he doesn't like playing against a long 7 footer and got outside of his game.

That's true, but before people started throwing stuff at him he did give the crowd the double "we're number one" salute. But for some reason he didn't use his pointer finger, he used his middle one.

Which isn't to excuse the people who threw stuff. Shouldn't have done that in any event.

Yes, I remember. I also recall a crutch grab too. He definitely deserved the shower he got. It's the getting up on the table part that I didn't like.

I guess the taunts during the game really got to him. Everytime he got the ball, the crowd kept chanting either marijuana or doughboy. He had a Marijuana arrest that year.

If you remember, after the game Calhoun tried to excuse what he did because he claim that the crowd directed racist chants at El Amin. At the time I remember saying that I never knew that calling someone fat was racist.

I hope Pitt does not draw them in the ACC tournament again....If you thought last year was an embarrassing beatdown...

that being said, all of those kids in the stands handled it ok...most were laughing and many put up a good natured middle finger or two...No one went after Hinson and no one threw anything his way. Not sure if that happens in a similar circumstance elsewhere....no harm, no foul both ways..

I could be wrong, but I think Hinson may have just given birth to a new Cameron visitor victor tradition with the Crazies...
