I wonder if Dykes or Spavital would be on Narduzzi's radar as possible OC.

I was listening to a Bruce Feldman podcast about a week ago and he said that a West coast team might fire their HC to go after Chip. The dykes buyout + chip will cost them a nice chunk of change.
Funny cause as soon as I saw Kelly was fired I figured some PAC team was immediately considering making a move.
Word out here is that Cal admin and players just got fed up with Dykes act. He was interviewing at Baylor, South Carolina and Missouri while still coaching Cal, so I'm skeptical if Kelly availability was the triggering factor. Good fortune for Cal if they get him, however. Kelly's stilled owed a ton of money from Eagles and 49ers. Could get him cheap. Not sure Kelly will want it. He hates recruiting.
They could have fired him 3 weeks ago and had a lot more options. I'm not saying Kelly is a lock there, he might even take a nfl OC job, problem is, he's looked at as a guy that's not easy to work with. Kelly has had a tough couple of weeks, he lost his father unexpectedly and then got fired.
How can Call afford him with their expensive stadium renovation? They should have moved to the 49ers stadium and then they would have the capital to hire a good coach and fund more player and coach endowments.
Dykes was a respected OC prior to his HC days and wouldn't be a dumpster dive.
Stadium at Cal is in one of the most picturesque in football. Levi's is a dump, an hour away from Cal without traffic. Can't sit on west side of stadium without suffering heat stroke.
Wisky is cheap too, they don't pay much , but Barry is a very smart football guy, so with him there , they are safe
Will be intreaguing to follow. Cal Athletic Department is a financial disaster. Currently hemmoraging about $20MM a year. Structurally a mess.,Sponsoring 30 DI sports a year, debt service payments on stadium and football facility renovations killing them and yes, coaches salaries. Committee has been in place since September to do an entire revamp. I don't see Kelly stepping into this unsettled quagmire.
Honestly, some of your posts are just bizarre. How is it dumpster diving to hire a former head coach as an OC? Do you think before you post?
Is OSU dumpster diving by hiring Kevin Wilson to be their OC?
