Lots of parallels here between Cal and Capel. Granted, Capel doesn't have the pure success at each stop that Cal does, but both are known as great developers of relationships that lead to recruiting wins for the most elite recruits, as well as the bagman rep that seems to come with that success. Few coaches can claim the long list of elite players that Cal and Capel can claim.
If Capel can continue that recuiting success at Pitt that he has at Duke and Oklahoma, we Pitt fans just might have a poor man's version of the coach we all have always wanted for Pitt hoops.
